Michael Jenner, New British Architecture in Germany, Prestel
Description

Michael Jenner, New British Architecture in Germany, Prestel

This book, commissioned by the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office and published by Prestel, celebrates the fact that a number of British architects have created acclaimed buildings in Germany, as part of the country’s rejuvenation after reunification. The projects include prestigious corporate headquarters, private houses, government buildings and cultural centres – from concert halls to art galleries.

The design resolves the challenges of page layout presented by a single bi-lingual edition appropriate for distribution in German and English speaking countries. Two different covers, however, were designed: one for commercial distribution, the other for use by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.
