Description

Eduardo Chillida, Ivorypress

Eduardo Chillida is best known as a sculptor working with stone, metal and wood – the materials of his Basque landscape. In addition, he executed thousands of drawings and collages. Eleven facsimiles of drawings haven been selected and carefully reproduced for this edition. The facsimiles are complemented by an unpublished notebook kept by Chillida containing small sketches for future works.

In a separate book Mexican novelist Carlos Fuentes and the British writer John Berger offer personal insights into Chillida's world. The writings are complemented by the work of Magnum photographer Ferdinando Scianna. The drawings, artist's notes and book have been bound and boxed in a limited edition of two hundred.
