Vitsœ Product Literature
Description

Vitsœ Product Literature

Together with the Vitsœ website, the product literature is the first of three steps to ownership of Dieter Rams iconic 606 Universal Shelving System. Clients who have been enjoying the system for years are best qualified to tell the Vitsœ story. Jeremy King, Ross Lovegrove, Jan Kaplicky, Dada Rogers and The Design Museum were some of the proud owners happy to be photographed with their shelves. As well as giving the endorsement of real individuals, it was an opportunity to show the shelves in actual settings, from a modern glass house to a traditional English country home, in the kitchen as well as in the library. According to the client, the brochure is the first piece of literature since the Sixties to capture the spirit as well as the beauty of the product.

Client information

Vitsœ

Vitsœ (pronounced 'Vit-sue' and frequently spelled Vitsoe) is a furniture manufacturer named after the company's Danish founder, Niels Wiese Vitsœ.

Vitsœ have been producing their core product, the 606 Universal shelving system, ever since the designs of Braun designer Dieter Rams were first launched in 1960. At that time, the aim was to produce a simple and timeless product and the system remains largely unaltered today. This makes it easy for clients to add to a system they may have bought more than fifty years ago.

The company's ethos is deeply rooted in the belief that the only way to transcend fashion is to design something that is relevant and meaningful rather than the flavour of the month.
