Ivorypress Logotype
Description

Ivorypress Logotype

Ivorypress are best known for their artist books. Richard Long, Anthony Caro, Anish Kapoor and Ai Wei Wei – to name but a few – have all created limited editions, that are sought after by collectors.

The publisher's carefully crafted logotype is based on Michael Harvey's Ellington typeface and has been designed in the tradition of the colophon – a printer's mark or logotype, that originated in the Renaissance printing shops. The logotype derives its unique character from a combination of calligraphic influences and elements of a modern serif typeface.
